A Fairy Tale – Once upon a time…!

A white castle, a gorgeous princess, a prince charming, a beautiful location, a fairy, a crystal shoe to match, a dance of lifetime…. And they lived happily ever after! Fairy tales… almost every girl can feel nostalgic with even a glimpse of them!

This story is of a little girl, who used to keep her fairy tale book inside her school books, so that her mom doesn’t scold her of reading them every time. She had created her own world that was just perfect, free from any malice of any kind. All the tales was read hundreds of times and every next time when she reads it, she visualizes those scenes all over. A beautiful world with only happy endings… that is what she dreamt of!! *smiles*

Then she grew up, things started changing, the world she dreamt of started becoming hazy. She lost her beloved mom who was her strength and a friend. This loss was irreplaceable, she was the guiding force of her life, and with this force missing, she lost her ways. The steps she climbed, were oil coated and she slipped. Learnt the lesson ! Again another step, coated with powder, slipped again and learnt again! Life moved on and hopes developed… she was now a big independent girl in a big city with a never say never spirit. Then one day, all the  tales she had imagined, started taking a shape, the prince of her life arrived and she flew with him in a world full of love. He now happens to be her husband and this is her fairy tale that brought her prince!

 I was a damsel in distress, the sad girl who had been waiting a life time for the magic to begin that can sweep me right off my feet. And when you came, you weren't a knight in shining armor. You stepped in my life, silently and surely, knowing what you were here for. Your certainty about us had me going for you.

  Like a princess locked up in a castle tower, I waited for you to fight the odds, rescue me and take me with you. Scary dragons and wicked witches combined weren't enough to keep us apart; that's what I love about loving you. It's just so powerful!

  I didn't expect a prince when you finally found me. I know you today like I have known you for years and years, and when you were finally there with me, I knew it in my heart.. if you're a prince in cover of an ugly frog...

 Wanted to find a place for us up in the clouds far, far away; where I can look at the stars with better clarity, where they will shine brighter for us and where it's just you and me. Walking up in the clouds with you... Ah I'm getting goose bumps just thinking about it!

   Lost in my thoughts, if ever I prick my finger with a needle and get a gift of a fate of endless sleep. Will you come to save me from this eternal doze? Awaken me in all my senses, show me what's like to be truly alive, stay by me and love me.

Kiss me and break the spell.

 Time tested us, from wicked witches to fire breathing dragons; from being confined in the sea to being locked up in towers of a far off land; from poisonous apples to pricking spindles; from being bounded in the castle to having to live in with a beast... Whatever may come; we'll make it through!

You just have to believe and have faith in me.

I love you for all the things you do for me; how you fight the odds and risk your everything. You bring it all to life and you make everything meaningful. I love this sense of purpose!

 Destiny, Fate, stars, crystal balls, dreams, the lines in your palm... everything told you I existed somewhere. You heard my beating heart just like I have been hearing yours all this time.

Souls interwined... 

 This beautiful story was written by God himself and is our destiny now and now since we are together, it's finally complete.

I want us to be the fairy tale that kids may read. I want this story to be read and lived over and over again for countless years. People may not know from where it all began, but they should know how and where it all led to. I want this to be a story that ends with "and they lived happily ever after". But then, I'd never want it to end. Let our 'happily ever after' be a wonderful beginning of every next beautiful thing. I want the little girls to know that happily ever after is not the ending but the beginning.

 This girl is me..  those fairy tales I read in my childhood, pooled in creativity to my thoughts. Do you remember your fairy tale days…? Now since we are all grown up, more practical, do you still believe in them somewhere in the corner of your heart?

For me it does exist! You have to just close your eyes and leave behind all the thoughts, smile and believe in this beautiful world. You will find a fairy tale in your life itself!
